Seek & Find

I’m retaking Stacy Julian’s Finding Photo Freedom class as an alumni this year as while I managed to sort out my digital storage binders which have worked great for me the last few years but I never quite figured out how to get digital category drawers going.

As part of the class Stacy gives you a seek and find challenge to see how well your system is working. So since it’s 5am and I’m wide awake I thought I’d give it a go and share the pictures I found with you.

1. A Photo of you take before 1995 – 10secs

2. A photo of something you love to eat – 25sec (because I couldn’t decide what to pick – just go with your instinct right?)

3. A favourite photo taken on your last three vacations - 2m 13sec

4. A photo featuring all members of your family - 13 sec

5. A photo from Halloween in 2008 - 35 sec

6. A great personality shot of a member of your immediate family. 10 sec

7. A photo of you and a good friend together – 51 sec

8. A photo that typifies some aspect of your everyday life or daily routine – 24sec

9. A photo of the sky – 15sec

10 A group of photos from last fall that you know for certain you would like to scrapbook 60sec

For a total of 6 minutes 4 sec – It would have been quicker if I would have been more decisive with some photos.

Enough Quotient

So as previously mentioned I’m taking Stacy Julian’s Finding Photo Freedom class.  She talks about what is Enough for you to achieve to keep you happy which is calls her Enough Quotient.  So here is mine.

Weekly

  • Upload pictures taken that week, keyword and star rate them.
  • Create at least one layout.
  • Blog at least four times a week.

Monthly

  • Review starred photos and make any changes to rating.
  • Create at least five layouts.
  • Print some photos out to share

Year

  • Create a vacation album.
  • Create a Year In Review album.
  • Take family photo

Home

  • Display family photographs.

Online

  • Write blog posts that share actual stories  rather than just layouts.
  • Create layout using Allison Davies sketches.

So is my Enough Quotient.

Shanna.
