I’ve had this on repeat for most of the day. I don’t know why but i kept listening to it.

Prompt four was about using dots and stripes.
This is based on a Shimelle sketch for a different class.
The other two are based on sketches from the class
* Since I wasn’t allowed to take photos at the theatre I Googled Keith Jack in Joseph and used some of the promotional pictures.
Now onto prompt 5

Ok confession time. I tried to make my own kit but it’s a lot harder to do it when you’re a digital scrapbooker that you think. So I cheated slightly and used one of my Echo Park Digital Kits (I love Echo Park). I used the Spring Time kit, and selected the 11 pieces of patterned paper and three pieces of solid ‘cardstock’. I made six layouts using Shimelle’s examples as starting points

I belatedly joined Shimelle Laine’s class Pretty Paper Party. These are the layouts I made for the first two prompts
Prompt One
I even used a big floral pattern, I would never have known what to do with it otherwise.
Prompt 2
Now onto prompt three which is about creating your own kit, since I’m a digi scrapper it’s not quite the same but I’m going to give it a try. I’ll be back at some point hopefully this weekend to share the results
Bonus layout.
This is based on Shimelle’s March 4x6 Photo Love class at Two Peas In A Bucket. I took inspiration from my niece’s umbrella for the colour scheme.

As some of you might notice the change in colour scheme. I was getting bored with the Cobalt edition so I bought a few more parts of the collections when they were on sale a few weeks ago.

So on Friday night after work thirteen of us from work when to Nando’s for dinner to celebrate the fact that my friend Stacey was going on maternity leave and it was her last day. Dinner went fine and we all ate well.
After dinner a few of my friends went to the bathroom. One of them came back down a few minutes later to tell us that my friend Rachel was stuck in the toilet. The door was jammed shut.
The staff decided that they would try and take off the door handle, which really didn’t do much good as it wasn’t connected to the lock which they didn’t have a key for.
They even passed a screwdriver under the door to Rachel.
Some of the guys tried, even suggesting ramming the door, but since it opened out it wasn’t a good idea.
In the end they had to use a hammer to smash through the lock.
Fifteen minutes after she went in Rachel was finally out.
And that was my funny tale from Friday night.

Another addition of ten on the tenth. This time I thought I would share some of the photos from my first camping trip last weekend.
1. While my sister and brother-in-law set up the tent I blew up some of the airbeds. My niece and nephew thought they would test them out.
2. The next morning my sister cooked bacon sandwiches on the camping stove.
3. Since it was a nice morning we walked to the beach about a 3/4 mile away
4. More beach photos
5. My sister’s crazy dog Bones
6. My nephew got drenched paddling in the sea and then rolled in the sand
FYI while it was a great time at the beach by 3 o’clock it had started raining and rain heavily all night.
7.Playing Rock n Roll bingo
8. Since it was still drizzling the next morning we played games in the tent
9. We had dinner in the onsite restaurant (we also had had breakfast there)
10. And just because he is so cute
And that is ten of the 500 pictures I took in the three days we were there. I’ll have to get around to scrapping them but I still haven’t scrap my trip to Edinburgh or Disney last year yet.

My response to the second prompt of Ali Edwards 31 Things Class
My morning routine consists of waking up at 4/4.30 every morning. This is not out of choice. When I was at University the first year I had room on the ground floor and at around 3/4 in the morning people in the halls opposite would get up and have a cigarette and wake me up. My body some how got used to waking up at that time everyday. Ten years later and I still wake up then.
I usually lie in bed, check my emails, read or watch something on the computer.
My alarm clock goes off at 6.06 on the off chance that I’ve actually managed to fall back to sleep (if I do have to be woken up by my alarm I’m usually grouchy all day). As to why it goes off at 6.06 am I accidently set it at that time and I can’t be bothered to have to go through to reset it to 6am. I also have an alarm clock that resets itself when you switch it off or there is a powercut so I just leave it.
About 6.45 I actually start getting up and dressed for the day on a weekday. On the weekends I actually stay in bed and watch TV.
I get dressed then by 7.10 I’m in the bathroom brushing my teeth and getting my hair done so I’m out the door by 7.20 so Todd can drive me to work. I grab my lunch and breakfast as I rush out. As I only live a few miles from my job I’m there by 7.30 to start (even though I don’t officially start until 8 - I get paid over time for the difference).
At my desk as I wait for my computer to boot up I eat my Chocotastic poptarts or usually fruit on a Monday. Then I start work.
