Things I learnt from Mythbusters….

about starting a fire without matches….

1. Rubbing two sticks together is a lot harder than it looks

2. Setting gunpowder on fire with a bullet  is also harder than it looks.

3. You can start a fire with wire wool and a battery (but who carries wire wool with them when their camping?)

4.  You can start a fire with ice (but you need to have a freezer and plenty of time to spend turning it into the sphere).

So in conclusion  what I have learnt about starting a fire without matches -  REMEMBER A LIGHTER!

Shanna.
