Project Life Week 7
Project Life Week 2
Project Life 2018
So I decided to take 2017 off of doing Project Life as I had been doing it for several years and lost enjoyment in the project. So this year I decided I actually missed it so I was going to give it a go again.
So dutifully on January 1st I started taking a photo a day, but on January 5th I got sick and was ill for ten days. I still wanted to do Project Life so while I was ill I started watching lots of YouTube videos of people doing their Project Life spreads and after watching I realised rather than the original concept of taking a photo a day they were just using photos from each week and using inserts. This set of a lightbulb for me. I knew I was going to have lots of events this year where I would have lots of photos I wanted to include in a spread rather than just pick one photo for the day.
So when I got better I bought a few new digital project life kits and started organizing them in ACDsee and then my external hard drive on which I kept all my digital kits as I had had to replace my laptop in early January after my dog knocked a bottle of water over it and destroyed the motherboard. I tried recovery software for my hard drive but the only folder it couldn’t access was all my digital scrapbooking supplies so I emailed BeckyHiggins.com and ACDigital and they (after a few days/ weeks) sent me the download links for all my files dating back to 2013. Having to start organising again ACDSee started crashing every time I opened it, so I went in search of another software to organise everything in.
In the end I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements (on sale) just so I could use their organizer to organise everything. So I spent the next month organising everything, I still continued to take pictures including some generic ones to fill in the weeks in January where I didn’t have enough pictures. So it was March before I actually started with my layouts.
So in the last month I have made the eleven layouts to catch up (week 12 is still this week) so I will be sharing them here starting today.
Shanna.
